How we raise funds:

  • Member dues – $40.00 each, however only $18.00 goes back to the club.  (20.5 to GFWC $1.5 MD GFWC)
  • Selling items to public
    • Corn Stalk Brooms – Sale for $25 / $10-12 per broom profit (depends on shipping)
    • Nut Orders from Terry Lynn online store – very small profit margin.
    • Rada Knife Fund Raiser – we earn 40% profit, but this is a hard item to continually sell.
    • Basket Raffles at public functions and district meetings
    • 50/50 Raffles – buy a ticket for a chance to win half of the pot.
    • Laytonsville Coverlettes – three remaining $50 each, will not order more at this time.
    • White Elephant Auction in May
    • Sneaker Recycling – small amount of profit (less than $20) but keeps them out of landfills.
  • Member Fundraising Opt Out – not every member wants to sell items or raise funds during the year.  You can opt out for a $100 monetary donation (on top of dues). To be collected in September/October each year.
